Want to know what 206MPH looks like from inside a streamliner?

We didn't help build or drive this car, but team USC shows what the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, looks like, from a drivers point of view. See how fast you have to go, to peel duct tape off your car.....(Make sure you watch in "HD", FULLSCREEN!!! --- keep your eyes on the piece of duct tape --- LOL ---) a fantastic 206 MPH run down 5 miles of Salt! Great Job, and our congradulations, to the whole USC Engineering team and their driver! (note: It's SO flat our here, you can look at the horizon, and actually see the curvature of the Earth!)

When a “valve job” is more than just ....

They regrind your seats, jet wash the works, slap in some valves, bang it together and out the door it goes......Or... should you consider, when it comes to a “valve job”, that it is a process not to be taken lightly?

What exactly is a “valve job” anyways? The reliability, durability, and performance that you will (or will not) receive from your engine has everything in the world to do with your cylinder head, and how well it works. The quality of the head work, the components used, the tolerances, cleanliness and procedures will determine whether or not your engine LIVES or DIES! Different makes/models, different experience, and what to spot, is the key to success or failure. See how the Pros do it!

Online Slot Games-The Road to Becoming A Millionaire

Mega-millionaire news is almost as common as day and night when it comes to fantastic slot games. It comes as no surprise to find out that about $6 billion is rewarded in forms or money won. To be able to get a slice of that money, playing slot games is vital. But with a lot of mystery shrouding the game, there are reasons why online slot gaming is in the top 3 most played games.

 Real deals

One of the most obvious things is that online machines are real. With some reported cases of supposed gamers being duped, the likelihood of a slot machine being faked is almost negligible. The best way to verify this is by playing a few hands using a small amount of money, and one can be sure that the returns come easy and fast. However, carefully choosing the type of games you want to play is important, as this will determine if there will be an increase in winnings in the future.

 Controlled Rules and regulations

The dread of pre-selected winners is always something every new player contends with when playing machine slot games. However, this fear is unfounded as every state has its rules and regulations, which every gaming and casino companies have to abide by in order to operate. With regulatory commissions keeping a watch, every result of a winner is a real player who has actually won.

Offer coupon codes

mobile coupon code

Online games are diverse and come with their own packages. However, one way to encourage gaming offered by casino owners is coupon deals to existing clients, encouraging them to play more. This is mostly done by in the form of a bonus code. Another way this is done is by offering a bonus by applying the code when new players are signing up. In this case, one immediately sees their account credited the promised amount before they even start playing. This way, one uses less money than they would otherwise have used playing.

Consolation prizes

Mega jackpots usually mean that one has placed the maximum amount of money to bet. This is usually done to ensure that they get as many spins as possible to increase their chances of winning. However, slot games are designed to have a few winners in a few hundred. To ensure that you are not at a complete loss, online casino gaming companies offer consolation prizes after evaluating your plays. They do this by offering a money back or a few more spins, to increase the winning chance.

Additional bonuses

In a bid to draw as many many players as possible to their games, online casinos have heavily invested in online games. Loyal customers are offered continuous promotional rewards. This is usually done on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Loyal players gain the most as even free rewards are offered, as a way of thanking them. In this case, free spins and cash prices are the norms for many. It is good to note that online gaming slot casino games promotions are usually scheduled.

Checking on the casino’s calendar will ensure that one can get and ride in the promotion wave that they desire.

With the obvious benefits that come with playing slot games, becoming a millionaire has never been easier.

Gambling in the Current Day

Given the current climate, where wages aren’t matching living costs and many businesses face closure due to high rent and poor profits, it’s no surprise that people are looking elsewhere to get more funds. On the back of this, countries have seen a huge rise in gambling, with the bulk of it occurring online.Discover more here about this issue and learn more about online casino sites.Anyway, we all want to know what is the state of gambling and where is it heading?

In 2017, the Guardian claimed that 2 million people were at risk of ‘problem gambling’ in the UK and this figure was on the rise. You can find the different UK casino sites these people would play at Spinathon. Problem gambling has been defined by the royal college of psychiatrists as ‘gambling that disrupts or damages personal, family or recreational pursuits.’ The most common age groups who seem to be affected by this are men, teenagers and young adults and even children from the age of 7 who are exposed to online gambling.

The UK Government, like many other countries including America and Slovakia, are implementing measures to crack down on the issue. In May 2018, they introduced a new law that saw the maximum bet able to be placed on a fixed odd betting terminal will be £2. Figures show that nearly 14% of people who use these machines fall into the area of problem gamblers, so these new measures are aimed to reduce this number. TV adverts will also be looked at, and the focus will be on getting them to promote responsible gambling. However, the law does not apply to online casinos where bets can be placed from anything as low as 1p up to £500.

online casino

Most gambling now happens online, with a staggering 50% of all gambling being done on the web according to Gamble Aware. This ties in with the rise of smarter technologies with increased availability; most people now would prefer to play games from their comfort of their own sofa and place a bet online in seconds rather than head down to betting shops.

[TRENDING NOW! 5 Social Media Marketing Mistakes to be Avoided]

And it’s advertising that seems to be a major culprit. With smarter technologies and more exposure, it’s not hard for business to crank out adverts promoting their latest game that will award a £2000 jackpot. Whilst it will appeal to most, the age group of 18-24 year olds are the most vulnerable to this sort of advertising. It’s a risky, adrenaline-pulsing venture to them and for many, seems like a quick way to gain some extra cash. With adverts making gambling look rewarding, ‘cool’ and exciting, it seems like the best option for many.

The government’s new measures are only very recent, so it is yet to be seen whether the regulations will have an impact on gambling in the UK. Even so, it is now a very prominent issue for the government, who are looking to impose more rules to protect its citizens, including increasing the age of those who can buy lottery tickets. But whether they can battle with the current economical climate, only time will tell.

DPR Racing – 1st Place – Silver State Classic Challenge

Team MC40 Headed by Steven and Leon Johnson, Won in a big
way with their DPR/Pilo/K & N Sponsored Mini Cooper.

Steven and Leon Johnson, the owners of Team MC40, classic Mini Cooper 40 year anniversary special edition, wanted to run the Silver State Classic in their Mini Cooper “S”, so they got in touch with Pilo Engineering, who had been producing some head turning Mini’s, who in turn got a hold of DPR Racing’s owner Dan Paramore, (who helped Dan Pilo build the “MEGA Mini”, recently), sporting the title “Highest Horsepower Mini”, for a short time. With Pilo handling the chassis work, suspension, wheels, and tires, DPR was left to handle the engine and head work. With custom pistons, and coated bearings in the lower end, and larger valves and a custom Stage IV porting job with special chamber work in the cylinder head, a higher lift cam, increased boost with an overdriven supercharger pulley, with some cold air intake and cat back exhaust work, and support from K & N, we were off to the races, and our little Mini really breathed some FIRE!

For over 25 years, both in the spring and in the fall, the “Silver State Classic Challenge Inc.” has been a World renowned event, and is in The Guinness Book of World records for ” Public Highway Land Speed Record” and “Fastest Road Course”. The Nevada Highway 318 events are identical, differing only in the time of year. They begin just South of Lund, at White Pine County just north of mile marker 9, head South through Nye County , and finish at Lincoln County mile marker 7. The journey traverses 90 miles of two lane highway which has recently been repaved and is in excellent condition, with long straights, twisty sections, and dips, which for the faster participants, may result in an airborne experience. Entrants receive a set of Course Notes and a video tape to help them prepare for the event. The cars are run in classes at five mile per hour increments, from 95 mph to 180 mph, with the class determined by the vehicle’s safety equipment, the driver’s experience level and the driver/navigator comfort level. There is also an Unlimited Division for very experienced drivers with full race-equipped cars. Vehicles are started at one minute intervals and 30 second intervals, beginning with the 150 mph class and working back to the 95 mph class. Once the last 95 mph class vehicle clears the course, the Unlimited Division and the higher speed brackets over 150 are run as the final group.

5 Social Media Marketing Mistakes to be Avoided

If you are wondering where you could find a wide population of consumers from different ages and preference, there would only one place to find them; ONLINE. The rampant use of social media gave rise to successful online marketing, sellers and advertisers could filter millions of prospects using popular sites.

Though there are already uncountable of successful stories that are fruit of Online Marketing, there are still numerous counts of business aspirants whose strategy didn’t work out well, what did they do wrong?

Here are 5 of the most common mistakes Social Media Marketers commit and should be avoided:

Being Clueless

When making a Marketing Plan, it is not enough that you write “Create a Social Media Account” because it is not just creating an account. You should know what to do after successfully registering on a certain social media site. What is your goal why you needed to enter Online Marketing?, one reason why some failed because they tried a new Marketing Strategy without any plan at all.

There are thousands of competitors online, if you won’t have the perseverance to get noticed every day, people might not remember you or even worst recognize you at all. Make sure to use this opportunity very well, keep your consumers updated of your product and services. Keep your posting catchy and memorable.

YOU MIGHT ALSO BE INTEREST IN: FEW SINKING LOVE RADAR

Not Getting Your Links Connected

You have a Facebook account with many followers, but your twitter account cuts short, Why? It is important that you link your social medias together, you might have some followers who’d prefer spending most of their spare time on their sites but because they were not aware that you existed on that social media site, you might not get in touch of that consumer often.

Your aim on entering the online world is to gather as much client as you can and to keep them reminded of your offers. Stay active and let them see you in all social medias if possible.

Too Dull To Notice

Online sites are getting innovated, but why can’t you?  Some netizens doesn’t have the time reading a long post of letters that requires them to read without any visuals to look at. Take time and exert some effort attaching photos or videos related to your business. It would be easier to get your consumer’s attention if you present your business in a way that would interest them; you wouldn’t want to give them a dull perception about your company.

Got Nothing More To Say?

Don’t act like a robotic recorder; stop posting the same thing in a short period of time. It is true that you should keep your presence active but not in a way that would irritate those who are following you. Give your clients something new to get interested in, if you are presenting the same products, make sure to make different versions of images or videos so your consumers won’t get tired of seeing the same thing several times a day – gather customers, not to annoy and lose them.

Being Insensitive Brings You Nowhere

Customer Service should not be limitedly offered on your office alone, by bringing your presence online, your consumers believe that they would be enjoying the same service you offer them personally. Interact with your clients and make them feel appreciated and valued; answer inquiries, reply and take action regarding their concerns, and if possible mention them if they post something good regarding your company.

What We Do

Ported and polished ALL the way through the intake and exhaust ports for maximum air flow and port velocity. We correct the miss-made aftermarket intake manifold that is tapered on the outside instead of the inside. We correct the manifold by adding a high speed velocity port. Combined with a diamond finish, they improve fuel atomization, increase throttle response, torque and horse power.

Valve seats are enlarged and machined to proprietary multi angle and mirror polished. For the highest quality valve job, valves are available in modified standard, stainless or even titanium. We can also back-cut and shape the valve, and modify the valve stem shape. Doing this creates 11% more valve area.

Head is internally and externally polished. A baked finish is then applied to reduce temperatures and add that sleek showcase look – Silver State Classic Challenge

Few Sinking Love Radar

They said love is always worth the pain, but it doesn’t mean you need to be in pain in all your relationships; though it seems so over dramatic to say but everyone wants to love and be loved back. The funny thing about this world is that love should be given to all and it shouldn’t be that hard since it’s a natural feeling; a feeling that should actually be felt and given by everyone, but there are still people who sees being in a relationship a number one priority and tops the list of things to accomplish before they die, putting too much effort on finding the right “soulmate” or forgetting one’s worth just because they don’t want to let go. What makes it more ironic is that most people who “love” has a mantra that “love is blind” – or should I say numb?

Indeed love is a mixture of everything not and nice, like a pop rock that needs to be stingy to be enjoyed. But we are in an era of survival, no more room for martyrs (though there is some exception depending if he/she is worth that gruesome patience), it’s head over that beating, and fairytales? Well, reality isn’t that nice, it’ll slap you in the face of the bittersweet truth that not everything that starts sweet, ends sweet.

So how do you know when you are aboard a sinking ship? Here’s a little radar:

Like A Gravity Pulling You Down

So you met this man who looks like a prince, you fell in love with him and thought you’ll be having a good love story, but every story has a twist. Now this prince-like man sees you like a princess, but treats you like trash – it sounded harsh but it happens. Despite giving you all that glitters or treating you as what a partner should, when your partner starts to pull you down, humiliate you in public, call you mean words, or mock you; No, you’re not trash, wake up and know your worth. This does not only happen to women, the world has evolved so fast that even the ladies are enjoying being the antagonist. When you are not getting any better, or for the saddest possibility, always feeling down and unappreciated; the boat you’re in might be sinking soon.

READ ABOUT [SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING MISTAKE TO AVOID]

When you are with the right person, things get better; it’ll never be bitter.

Pass Time Kind Of Forever

We understand that though you are partners, you have your own personal life to get busy on; but if your partner really sees you as someone they want to spend their whole life with, you occupy space on that personal life; and you are deserving of an appropriate portion of their time. If he can play his video/online games (for girls, I don’t know, maybe doing unnecessary stuffs like putting make-up on then erasing it, maybe?) but can’t call or text you its 50% sinking, but when your partner could visit its friends or go out with them but couldn’t even take you out on a date or accompany you somewhere; what are you doing on that type of relationship? The boat won’t sink but it’ll never sail. They are partners because they want to spend their moments with you; you’re not a pass-time game or hobby that they could just get back to whenever they want or feel missing. Because when they say I love you FOREVER (though the duration of that word isn’t well elaborated, let’s just say it is up to the moment of your last breathe), it is a continuous moment, it doesn’t happen once nor alternating.

One of the most beautiful perks of being loved is when you never have to feel alone despite the distance or those moments of silence… ‘coz when you have someone to love, a part of everything you do, every second you spend has something to do with that person.

Love Is No Bed Of Roses

You are living on fictional books if you say that real love has no pain, that it should be perfect and no rainy days. Real relationships go through storms and rough roads, it is common and also a crucial part of every relationship that you should get used of but always ready to fight for. When your partner chooses to shut his mouth and fix things and just play chill; the boat won’t sink, but you’ll die burdened on that voyage. When you enter a relationship, you bind yourself to everything that has something to do with the both of you; and it include all the misunderstanding and the roller coaster ride of emotions. You have to face those together, when he doesn’t give an effort on trying to make things work for the both of you, then he is not worth the risk; you’ll end up paddling the boat while he tries to stare at you getting all sweat up and trying.

“I’d rather have bad times together than to have it easy apart; I’d rather have the one who holds my heart” – Brian Mcknight

Perfecting The Guilt Trip

Loving is giving all you could give without asking any return (except for love itself), when he buys you things then takes that as a weapon for blackmail, you should burn that ship down and run away! You are not loved; you are being slaved by someone who could turn stories upside down. When everything he gives you needs something in return, then you should be ready to fulfill his to do lists.

Love would never ask anything in return, for it doesn’t speak; it just loves.

Mini Cooper – What’s Hot!

Mini Cooper – What’s Hot!

Ok, I drive a 2005 MINI Cooper S. It’s an “R53”, which means (02-06) with the “S” package. It was completely stock when I bought it for $10,000 back in May of 2010. It had 70,000 miles on it, with plain-Jane silver (pure silver, BMW calls it) and a black top.

I joined the PDX MINI club in the Portland area that same month. I attended my 1st back road Twisty Run the following weekend. It was awesome! I noticed that each the MINI’s were a little unique, and had a theme of sorts. After the run, I knew I wanted to make mine a “Race Car” theme. I got it striped and numbered at PDX Wraps here in Sherwood OR, but over the next 3 months many people asked “Do you race this?” and I had to answer “No”.

I’d heard about track day at Portland International Raceway (PIR) in nearby Portland where you could learn to drive your daily-driver at speed on their track. I signed up and loved it! That was in August; I was 63 in October, and spent the fall and winter tricking out the suspension, adding a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust, and a 15% smaller supercharger pulley. Oh, and I also started changing every piece of gray trim or chrome to carbon fiber.

mini cooperBy Feb. 2011, I went to MINI Thunder II to see how it would stack up to dozens of other MINI’S. After training all morning with Bill, the oldest instructor there at 69, he certified me “SOLO” meaning I was able to drive the rest of the day with out an instructor. Bill had raced all his life and he pushed me hard, hammering “smooth equals fast” into my head. I memorized the lines and tried to do all that he taught me. That same afternoon, I passed every car on the track and by the end of the day I was lapping them all. I was hooked! I attended another Track day at PIR, then three times at ORP in Grass Valley, OR. These were “Hooked on Driving” events. Then one more day at PIR in Portland.

HOT NEWS! HONDA DETECTIVES SOLVE MYSTERIES

By then, Fall was upon us and it was too cold and rainy to be on the track, so I decided that since the odometer had turned over 100,000 miles, Winter would be a good time to upgrade the power-plant. I found a Shrick cam on Craig’s List; six months and $19,000 later I had a fresh new motor, an AutoPower roll bar, Sparko racing seats, Bilstein coilovers.. and it was February!

Pikes Peak Hill Climb The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is the second oldest motor sports race in America and a long-standing tradition in Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region. First competed in 1916 and this year marks the 90th running of the “Race to the Clouds.”

The race is run on a 12.42 mile course with 156 turns that begins at 9,390 feet and finishes at the 14,110 foot summit of America’s Mountain; Pikes Peak! As the drivers climb toward the summit, the thin air slows reflexes and saps muscle strength. The thin air also robs engines of 30% of their power at the summit. Competitors and vehicles must be in top shape simply to finish…let alone win!

The current record is 09:46.164 and was set by Rhys Millen in 2012.

There is no other race course in the world like the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. That is why it attracts race crews that are willing to spend several hundred thousand dollars and months of preparation to compete for the right to be the King of the Mountain.

Sports Compact Car Magazine's Project Civic EG Baffles exhaust manufacturer, techs, and tuners. By the next issue they found the problem. A rusted old B16A exhaust manifold used on the initial test had a DPR modified unit. After asking Dan Paramore about the manifold, he responded, “I modified that manifold several years ago. At the time it beat over ½ the manufacturers in a header shootout. It upset some manufactures to the point that it was eliminated from the second printing of the article a year later. The modification cost about ¼ of their header system, it also passed smog and never cracked.”

From Sport Compact car magazine Project Civic EG Part 5

“Our header evaluation must be prefaced by saying we took what we assumed was a stock B16 exhaust manifold left over from our 2000 Civic Si project and used from our baseline run forward. Only after we removed it to install the header did we realize the primaries were ported by Dan Paramore, revealed by a little, rusted-over "DPR" engraved at the top of the manifold. We located another stock manifold and re-tested. This is why the baseline run for our header is slightly lower than the previous run in which we tested the AEM intake.”
NOTE: Stock header in Dyno is DPR modified unit.
