Teenage driving help is coming to the Southland
While obtaining a driver's license is a hallmark of any teenager's life, with it comes the need for responsibility. Too often this takes a backseat to the excitement of being able to operate a motor vehicle for the first time until it's too late. In fact, one out of every three teens has an auto accident within the first year of acquiring a license. According to police reports, 82% of those accidents are caused by "driver error."Now, Orange County and Los Angeles-area teens have the opportunity right in their backyard. Danny McKeever's FAST LANE, a top-notch driver training academy based at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, is bringing its teenage driving program to the Orange County Fairgrounds. Each day will consist of a pair of four and a half hour courses that teach key elements of safe driving and accident avoidance techniques in a program designed especially for teenagers. This is a hands-on experience, with seasoned professional instructors providing both classroom instruction and on-track training.
